Darwin Design is a product development studio in Kontich, Belgium. We design hardware: industrial form and function, mechanical engineering, electronics and embedded firmware, all in-house by our own team. We take physical products from first concept to a production-ready file pack, and we improve the ones you already sell. Fewer warranty cases, fewer parts, a lower cost per unit, a next generation that is genuinely better than the last. Together with our partners at the Cronos Group and their 9,000+ software specialists, we cover the digital side too, so connectivity, apps and data are never a hand-off problem. We work in short, fixed-scope sprints. Each one ends in something concrete: a validated concept, a working prototype, a DFM review, a set of production drawings. No big commitment needed. We start where the pain is: a part that keeps failing in the field, an assembly that takes too long, a product that's due for its next generation. We redesign the mechanics, the electronics or the form, and prove it with a prototype before you commit to tooling. Adding sensors and connectivity to a product you already sell is part of the same work, and where it leads to a service model instead of a one-off sale, our partners at the Cronos Group handle the platform side.
