The École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Lyon (Ensba Lyon) is a public higher education institution for the arts accredited by the Ministry of Culture and Communication.
Conceived as a laboratory for research and experimentation, deliberately open to contemporary artistic realities, it aims to train artists, designers, and creators. Engaged with the current forms and challenges of creation, it more broadly aims to foster the emergence of unique talents and to create the conditions for high-level professionalization in the fields of art, design, and creation.
The training programs are divided into two cycles:
- A three-year first cycle including a first general year, leading to the DNA (National Art Diploma) in art, spatial design, graphic design, and textile design.
- A two-year second cycle leading to the DNSEP (Higher National Diploma of Visual Expression) Master's degree, in art and design, with specializations in graphic design and spatial design.
Beyond the second cycle, the School offers:
• A one-year international post-diploma for young artists
• A research program in art
• A three-year third cycle for young researchers and artist-researchers, structured around three research units: ACTH, dedicated to the link between Contemporary Art and the Times of History, Post-Performance Future, and the Digital Unit, dedicated to contemporary aesthetic issues raised by digital cultures.
Furthermore, Ensba hosts a preparatory class for art schools located in Vieux Lyon, welcoming 60 students. Finally, the school offers amateur artistic practice courses at the Perrache or Subsistances site, for over 800 registered participants.No review yetBe the first to write one
