StoryWe started HMI Project in 2011 in Germany with a simple belief: industrial software should be as clear and empowering as consumer apps. Today we are a compact interdisciplinary team of 17 people across three disciplines — design, usability and development — who tackle complex machine interfaces with the same care as product design. Early on we learned to balance strict industrial constraints with human needs: smoothing a clunky workflow into an intuitive display taught us how powerful good interface design can be in the field. We’ve completed over 100 projects and earned more than 30 awards, but what drives us is seeing operators work faster, safer and with less friction because of our solutions.
