I service expensive cars and had nothing online, and I was still tracking every weeks jobs and payments in a notebook. I wanted a site that looked serious and a system that could tell me who still owes me money without digging through pages. Both got built. The part I use every day is when I select unpaid only, it ignores the dates and gives me everything owed from the beginning. One button, then I print it. That detail was mine, I mentioned it once and next time I looked it was there. He builds around how you actually work instead of handing you a template. I didnt have a fixed deadline for the project to be finished therefore the polish took some weeks. Recommended to all businesses who want a system based on the way they operate
What was the objective behind your collaboration?We needed to stop running reservations entirely by phone. Bookings came in during service, when nobody had a free hand, went onto paper, and on busy nights, some got missed. Our old site wasn't doing anything for us either. We wanted three things: a site that looks the way the restaurant actually looks, a proper online reservation system, and some way of seeing our own numbers instead of guessing which nights were strong.
What did you enjoy the most during your collaboration?He asked how the restaurant runs before designing anything. That sounds obvious, but nobody had done it before. He also didn't push extras on us, which is what we were bracing for. The dashboard wasn't something we asked for and it's now the thing we open most. It shows which evenings fill up and how bookings move week to week, and it's changed how we operate. Deadlines were met and replies came fast, which we don't take for granted.
Are there any areas for improvements?A short walkthrough of the dashboard at handover would have helped. We worked it out ourselves, but ten minutes on a call would have saved us that. Either way, the whole process is not complicated at all and easy to learn for beginners
