Get in on the slow content.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is slow content?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Slow content is exactly what its name suggests.\u00a0 It is slow to produce and slow to read and it also engages with a different part of your brain than fast content.\u00a0 Take a look at this example <\/span>from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychologicalscience.org\/publications\/observer\/obsonline\/a-new-twist-on-a-classic-puzzle.html#:~:text=If%20the%20ball%20cost%2010,a%20grand%20total%20of%20%241.10.\">Kahneman\u2019s <i>Thinking Fast and Slow<\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A bat and ball cost $1.10.\u00a0 The bat costs one dollar more than the ball.\u00a0 How much does the ball cost?<\/span><\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You might have instinctively answered 10 cents thanks to your \u2018fast-paced\u2019 part of your brain.\u00a0 However, if you sit with the question long enough, and tap into the \u2018slower paced\u2019 part of your brain, you\u2019ll realise that the answer is in fact 5 cents.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you think of this example in a marketing context, the slight mistake writers or readers make when writing or reading a fast-paced piece, means lost profit.\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.skyword.com\/contentstandard\/is-a-slow-content-movement-the-future-of-your-content-marketing-strategy\/\">Psychological research<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has even shown that things we tend to read quickly are just as quickly forgotten as those that take longer to read.\u00a0 The larger pieces tend to stay with us longer and have a bigger impact on us. time<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because of the nature of a slow content piece, the whole process of production will be longer.\u00a0 The thought process will take longer, the research will take longer, the writing, the editing\u2026These are not the typical posts you can sit in a coffee shop and write out in a few hours.\u00a0 Put aside a few time slots throughout the week to focus on the development of a slow piece.\u00a0 Additionally, give yourself ample time to research.\u00a0 Have a look at what piece of information you can gather together or maybe your research will shine a light on the lack of content on your chosen topic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Produce pieces of value<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The more time you give yourself to work on the piece, the more the piece\u2019s quality and value will increase.\u00a0 This will distinguish it from all the other rushed pieces we find on the internet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A piece of value is informative, trustworthy, accurate, and
